Who we are

SHOT Belfast Limited, 2 Montgomery Street, Belfast BT1 4NX, Northern Ireland, is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. You can reach us at hello@shotbelfast.com.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in readable form). If you use magic-link sign-in, we just use your email address.
• Order details: your delivery and billing addresses, the items you’ve ordered, and your order history.
• Payment details: handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card number goes straight from your browser to Stripe — it never touches our servers and we never see it.
• Emails you send us: if you use the contact form or email us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.
• Notification sign-ups: if you ask us to email you about a product launch or stock alert, we store the email address you give us (and which product it relates to) until the notification is sent or you ask us to remove it.

Cookies and browser storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser-storage items, all strictly for making the shop work — none of them track you across other websites:

• shot_session — cookie (httpOnly, secure). Keeps you signed in to your account for up to 24 hours.
• shot_cart_id — localStorage. Remembers your shopping cart between visits.
• shot_auth_token — localStorage. Keeps your account session working in the browser while you’re signed in.
• pwa-banner-dismissed-at — localStorage. Remembers that you dismissed the “add to home screen” banner so we don’t show it again.
• pwa-pageviews — sessionStorage. Counts pages viewed in your current visit, so the “add to home screen” banner only appears after you’ve looked around (cleared when you close the tab).

Analytics

We use no third-party analytics or advertising trackers — no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, nothing of the kind. The only analytics on this site are internal sales figures (for example, subscription revenue totals) calculated from our own order records, visible only to us.

Who we share your information with

• Stripe — processes your payment. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy.
• Royal Mail — we share your name and delivery address with Royal Mail (Click & Drop) to create shipping labels and track your parcel.
• Our email systems — order confirmations and dispatch emails are sent from our own email infrastructure.

We never sell your data, and we don’t share it with anyone else except where the law requires us to.

How long we keep your information

• Account data is kept until you ask us to delete your account.
• Order records are kept for as long as the law requires us to hold them (for tax and accounting purposes).
• Notification sign-up data is deleted as soon as the alert has been sent, or immediately if you ask us to remove your address before that.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Correct anything that’s wrong;
• Have your data erased (subject to records we’re legally required to keep);
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format;
• Object to processing where we are relying on legitimate interests as our lawful basis;
• Restrict processing — ask us to pause using your data while a dispute is resolved;
• Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data.
